Decidedly, 2014 is a very good year in terms of awards for our home.
En effet, we have seen we received a new medal and this time for the Royal Cuvée “R” (Tête de cuvée) vintage 2009 :
GOLD medal au concours international de Lyon 2014 !
“Lyon is known to be the capital of the senses and taste, so it is natural that welcomes selectionthe world's best wines. The competition has built a reputation, supported by its partners : The Toques Blanches Lyonnaise, Association of Sommeliers Lyon and Rhône-Alpes, Metro et Global Wine and Spirits.
The craze continues unabated, avec en 2014, 3685 samples tasted, 22 countries represented and millions of bottles valued by medals. International tasters from all walks of wine industry (oenologues, sommeliers, restaurateurs, producers, wine merchants and connoisseurs) now make this event a must in their schedule. Honorary President is alternately provided by a recognized and a Lyons head sommelier.”
We received a new award : Vinalies Silver to Vinalies internationales (competition winemakers of France).
This new distinction confirms the good results obtained so far and thus enhance the quality of work undertaken since 2008.
It is already the second award for our ROYAL VINTAGE Seyssel 2010, which will be available from May to vault.
The ROYAL VINTAGE Seyssel 2010 was awarded the Médaille NC when Concours Général Agricole de Paris in the month of February. It is the supreme title for this new vintage will be available at the cellar during the summer.

Bronze Medal in the world's largest wine competition in the world
After obtaining a beautiful SILVER medal in GENERAL CONTEST PARIS February 2013. We just received a bronze medal at DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS 2013 our ROYAL VINTAGE Seyssel 2009. The Decanter World Wine Awards is the largest competition of the leading wines in the world. The competition is well known for its rigorous selection process, which led to the Decanter World Wine Awards becoming the most reliable source of wine recommendations for wine lovers around the world.
Some figures to judge :
• The DWWA was launched in 2004 and celebrates 10 years as a wine competition leading worldwide.
• This year, the DWWA welcomed a record number of 14 362 wines in the competition, from 52 countries around the world.
• The DWWA is respected internationally for its prestigious reputation and influence of consumers unparalleled.
• Le DWWA 2013 to Recruit 219 judges from 27 countries around the world, which 75 Masters of Wine, and 13 Master Sommeliers.
• All winning wines are tasted up to four times. There is a wine region relatively unknown to the general public : le vignoble the Seyssel. The AOC Seyssel is produced in the wine area of the foreland Savoy, either the departments of Ain and Haute-Savoie. The vineyard 80 hectares extends on both banks of the Rhone at an altitude between 200 and 380 meters. The soils are stony, sand and gravel below the common Seyssel, but those who are more specifically this region come from the collapse of Corbonod. The grounds are, to a thickness of 15 with 20 meters, composed of angular fragments of the Upper Jurassic limestones. This gap has a south - southeast, ideal for very ripe berries. The main climatic influences are those that are found in the sub-region belonging. The AOC Seyssel products still white wines from one grape Highness (or dogfish) representing approximately 50 hectares of the appellation. With the AOC sparkling Seyssel, majority, the total production of these white reached annually 4 000 hl. Seyssel AOC is a wine of character, the nose of flowers such as violets, l'iris et la bergamote (it is said that the iris notes are made by the formerly cultivated land by perfumers of Grasse), but also white fruit. Royal Seyssel Vintage 2009
This wine has a pale yellow color with beautiful green hues, fine and delicate bubbles. Aromas of fresh fruit take us from the first scent, pear but honeysuckle dominate. Spicy notes and smoky aromas complement this. The palate is fresh, frisky, footprint aromatic pear and gooseberry Passe Crassane. The set ended with a lot of finesse and freshness.
A beautiful wine effervescent, ideal for an early evening chic accompanied by toast with caviar, fine oysters clear, but wolves and salmon tartare raised by a citrus freshness and a touch of Yuzu.

And a sparkling golden dress, fine bubbles and high class. A powerful nose, rich aromas of autumn fruits : quince, grenade. A ventilation, is the spices that dominate, the cardamom, anise with some honey and lemon keys. This is the power and smoothness that dominates the beginning of mouth, a sweet touch supported by a discreet and refined bitterness, aromas are honeyed and spicy, with a powerful and harmonious final.
